Howdy folks. I've noticed I havent blogged lately. I'm still breathing, just sort of busy. Since I've changed positions and shifts at work, I operate more like a normal person, working during the day and (supposedly) sleeping at night. If you've been here recently, you'll notice I've been reading the same book for quite some time. I lied. I actually cracked the book open this week, and I feel bad for not doing so sooner. I'm already midway in the book, and I have to say, I miss doing this professionally. I enjoyed the work, I definitely enjoyed the bank account. Dont get me wrong, wallyworld has kept me satisfied so long as my bills get paid. Now, I want more.
I decided it's time to "go to school" again, but instead of going thru the hassles of registering and financial aid, I'm going to do it sitting right here. I started out by going to my favorite bookstore, but then found out half the books I was looking for can be downloaded as an ebook....for way cheaper (I think you know what i'm getting at). Only bought two books and have others on my hard drive. I've printed one book already, however, it taxed my ink cartridges pretty good. Thankfully I have three printers to do the job for me.
So now I have this new (and growing) library of material to get caught up on, and my short term goal is to be prepared by the end of the year to make a move. I dont want to rush into anything or not be savvy enough to handle the real world stuff. Being I've been out of the loop for so long, I have to be ready to show my stuff, guess I'll be looking for some hosting space somewhere for when I start building my portfolio of sorts.
So for now, back to my book.
